Our Taiwan Trip: 2nd Day

This morning we were to proceed to Yeliu Stone Park. Before that, let see some photos we had taken of the Howard Lake Resort.

Reaching Yeliu Stone Park, we got to see unique geological features, such as fantastic rock formations sculpted by nature, with names that echo their shapes such as Queen's Head and Fairy Shoe. However, we only managed to capture the Queen's Head, not the Fairy Shoe.

Once out of Yeliu Stone Park, we came to this market where we bought fried seaweed.
Can see that Tricia and Li Cheng were enjoying the seaweed.
Next, we proceeded to Chiufen which is located up in the hills of Northern Taiwan. Here, we got to see the old fashioned way of lifestyle. We got to savour some famous local snacks, such as different type of fish ball soup, Chiufen Yum Ball soup and Stink Tou-Fu. We decided to miss the Dou Kou Beef Noodles even though it is recommended by locals.

The Dou Kou Beef Noodles stall. Here we tried the 'ma jiang mei"and yum ball soup.
We tried the different types of fish balls here. The "mei xian" is nice nice. Yummy...

Here we bought all the goodies such as "moi ji".
Chiu Fen street. Top left: Tricia eating stinky tou fu.
Tricia also bought another bowl of fish ball soup to try.
Waiting for bus to go back to where the coach was waiting for us.

In the afternoon, we were to travel to Hualien by train. Before that, we dropped by a drink stall to try the "shao tan xian cao".
