Off the beaten path to farms visit

I drove to Bukit Panjang to pick up Benjamin & Natalie. Just as I arrived, I saw Peter's car driving in with Hannah.

With Teck Hong, Hannah, Benjamin & Natalie on board the car, off we go for the day's event: Farm Visits.

Our first stop is the HAY DAIRIES, off Lim Chu Kang Rd at Lane 4. It is possibly the only goat farm in Singapore. Come here to see the goats being milked (only in the morning), feed them and drink fresh (pasteurised and homogenised) goat's milk, in original and chocolate flavours.

Next, we went to the Jurong Frog Farm, off Lim Chu Kang Rd at Lane 6.

We had also driven to see the Quail farm and Cow farm. However, these farms seem to have shifted. Thus, we continued our journey to Qianhu Aquarium. Heard recently that Qianhu had a new fish spa facility. Sound interesting. More information at http://www.qianhu.com

We then visted the aquarium.

Look at what we found in the aquarium: A two-headed tortoise.

After the visit at QianHu, the kids were exhausted. So we went to Lot 1 to have our lunch, then to the library to bring some books home. That's how we spent for our farm visit.

My dad's angelfish has given birth

This morning my brother sms "Dad's angelfish had given birth". There are many many babies in the tank. I was so excited that I have to share this joy.

We watched "Jack & the Beansprout!"

This was the first time I watched W!LD RICE Pantomime.
There were three fairy tales' musical before this, so I decided not to miss this fourth one.

Getting to National Library, 100 Victoria Street and Dinner
I was at the library early around 5:15pm. We were supposed to meet 6pm, however I went to check out on any Taiwan travel books. However, I walked two rounds and couldn't locate the travel section. In the end, I gave up. We (Aunty Lilian, Li Cheng, Tricia, June, Dawn & myself) had dinner at National Library's Hans.

What I like about this musical?
It's the "Jack & the Bean stalk" story in Singapore style.
I like the story as it talks about honesty, greed and showing of a motherly love for a son.
Basically, it's about Jack and his mum staying in a HDB flat. They are being threatened by loan sharks and this forces them to sell their "dog" or rather a cow to repay the loan sharks. Instead of getting cash, Jack exchanges their pet with handful of beans. Overnite the beans grew to a giant beansprout where Jack decides to climb up to meet a man-eating Giant. The story then goes on and on... sounds like "Jack and the beanstalk". However, the ending has a twist. To know the ending, watch the Musical. Ha... Ha...

After seeing "Jack Neo" performance today, I will definitely wait for the next season's Pantomime.

Joey's back in Singapore

It's 7:35pm and I received a sms by Ratna: I'm going to Marina Sq to walk walk first. See whether you want to join me. So I packed all my stuff and left office.

I reached around 8plus and met up with Ratna at Marina Sq. We each bought cone of Jap ice creams while waiting for the two ladies who earlier on were crazily shopping at Vivocity. The two ladies, Joey and Feli arrived around 9pm.

Joey had just came back from Shanghai to attend her brother's wedding. It's such wonderful moment of catching up.


We went to the Hong Kong chai chan ting (Marina Sq) to have our (Ratna & myself) dinner.
Joey talked so much about:
- Her life in Shanghai. On how she misses back home.
- Her experiences with her flight back. On how people rushing for the plane even though seat nos are already allocated, etc.

We decided to visit Joey next year's March. Ratna, you sure you not going?
